Enrollment Process
Admission
North Bay Haven Charter Academy admits students of any race, color, national and
ethnic origin, religion or gender. It is the intention of the school to reflect
the community it serves and be open to any resident in the area who would
otherwise attend an elementary, middle, or high school in Bay County.
Eligibility preference is given to children of any Bay Haven Charter Academy,
Inc. employee as per established rules and policies from Florida statutes.
Eligibility preference is also given to siblings of students currently enrolled
in North Bay Haven Charter Academy.
Eighth grade students in good standing from either North Bay Haven Charter
Academy or Bay Haven Charter Academy will be eligible for preference for any
available high school positions as per established rules and policies from
Florida statutes.
Students who wish to transfer from one school to another school will need to go
through the normal application and enrollment procedures.
The application you complete for North Bay Haven will be only for North Bay
Haven. If you wish to apply for Bay Haven Charter Academy, you must apply
through the Bay Haven Charter Academy website, www.bhca.ws
If the number of applications exceeds the number of positions available,
enrollment will be determined at the completion of a state-mandated lottery to
be held at a date and time to be announced.
FOR THE 2010-2011 SCHOOL YEAR: Applications will be accepted for each North Bay
Haven Academy through May 15, 2010. Only applications received through the North
Bay Haven Academy website (www.nbhca.ws) will be included in the enrollment
process. If needed, a lottery will be held on June 5, 2010. We will provide
information to you via email. If no email address is provided, information will
be sent to you via US mail delivery.
Any applications received after May 15, 2010 will be placed on the waiting list
after the lottery applicants. They will be placed according to the date and time
received.
Application Instructions for North Bay Haven ONLY!!
To complete an application on-line, begin here. The application is in four
screens: one where you enter your information as caregiver, one screen where you
can add applicants (students) one at a time, an information review screen, and
then a screen that provides your confirmation number to you. Applications are
not complete if you do not receive a confirmation number. Applications will be
date and time stamped as they are received.
If you are unable to complete an application on-line, please come to our office
at Bay Haven Charter Academy, (2501 Hawks Landing Blvd., Panama City, FL 32405)
to complete an application on our computer or call us at 850-248-3500.
